Halla Climate Control receives government and customer recognition
In December, Visteon affiliate Halla Climate Control (HCC), in which Visteon has a majority percent equity share, received a number of government and customer awards demonstrating its leadership position in the industry.
- HCC was recognized at the annual "45th Korea Trade Day" organized by the Korean government and Korea International Trade Association. The event commends companies and individuals who significantly contributed to Korea's export market.
- HCC received the "$1 billion Export Tower" for its outstanding export performance. HCC exported $1.07 billion from July 2007 to June 2008 – a growth of 12 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
- From the customer, HCC was presented the "New Technology Gold Award" by Hyundai Motor Company for its Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) efforts that developed a plate type oil cooler to replace a tube type in tank oil cooler to provide better performance and durability. The DFSS efforts played a key role in optimizing design, quality and cost.
- Halla Climate Control Dalian (HCCD) in China received the "2008 Top Supplier" award from Chang'An Ford Mazda Automobile for excellent performance on quality, delivery and an improved customer relationship. HCCD is one of the ten suppliers to receive this award out of the customer's 240 suppliers.

Visteon wins recognition for innovative driver awareness system
Intelligent Transportation Society of America named Visteon Corporation a winner of the 2008 Best of ITS Awards in the Best Innovative Products category for its comprehensive driver awareness system, Visteon Light Vehicle Integrated Vehicle Based Safety System (IVBSS). The Visteon system fully integrates a suite of crash warning features that includes forward collision warning, road departure warning, lane change merge alerts and blind spot detection. These systems provide the driver with situational awareness of the vehicle's surroundings. ITS is a leading advocate for technologies that improve the safety, security and efficiency of the nation's surface transportation system. The Best of ITS Awards honors innovative, effective and influential achievements in the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) industry. This program recognizes organizations whose projects have demonstrated specific and measurable outcomes and exemplified innovation by establishing a new dimension of performance.

Visteon successfully completes its CMMI appraisal
Visteon has successfully completed a Capability Maturity Model® Integration – Development (CMMI) appraisal, underscoring its commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous process improvement in vehicle electronics. This is the second time the global automotive supplier achieved a Level 2 rating for U.S. electronics product development, signaling that a continued, solid foundation is in place for repeatable and predictable execution of projects for vehicle manufacturers. CMMI is an industry-recognized process improvement model designed to apply global best practices to all aspects of product development, from project planning to product validation, with a focus on improving quality.

Visteon receives third Corporate ONE Award
For the third time, Visteon has earned the "Corporate ONE Award" from the Michigan Minority Business Development Council (MMBDC), which is given to less than 10 percent of MMBDC's corporate members. Criteria for the award include having an established minority/diversity supplier development program, reporting minority purchases quarterly, and belonging to MMBDC's Corporate ONE, an initiative to aid minority businesses in becoming competitive bidders for corporate contracts.

Visteon named to the 2009 Corporate Equality Index
Visteon earned the top rating of 100 percent in the 2009 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), an annual survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Visteon was one of eight automotive companies, and the only Tier 1 supplier, among the 259 major U.S. based companies, to receive the honor. Top marks are earned for the company's treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees and consumers. CEI evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination policies, transgender health benefits and domestic partner benefits.

Mahindra & Mahindra recognizes Visteon with "Best Performance in Quality" award
In May, Mahindra & Mahindra awarded Visteon Automotive Systems India Pune plant (VASI Pune) its "Best Performance in Quality" award. The award evaluates suppliers’ delivery performance, PPM, and its response time in resolving quality issues. VASI Pune was recognized for its overall outstanding quality performance in manufacturing plastic and rubber commodity. Furthermore, the plant was able to achieve lower than target PPM in 2007 although Mahindra’s PPM calculation is very stringent.

Visteon Hiroshima Plant recognized for outstanding performance
Visteon Hiroshima Plant (VHP) received the “2007 Continuous Improvement” award from Mitsubishi Motors (MMC) for its outstanding performance in production line and component procurement process. VHP was chosen from 27 nominees to get this ward, and has been recognized by MMC as an exceptionally good example of a new supplier to MMC.

HCC Pyeongtaek receives appreciation for superior product development
Halla Climate Control Pyeongtaek Plant (HCC Pyeongtaek) received an award from Japan Climate System (JCS) at the supplier meeting in appreciation of its superior product development under tight schedule. HCC Pyeongtaek successfully completed its compressor development and manufacturing.

Almussafes facility receives Ford World Excellence Award
Visteon's Almussafes, Spain, facility was honored by Ford Motor Co., receiving its World Excellence award that recognizes suppliers for embracing Ford's vision of profitable growth, teamwork and a better world. Acknowledged as one of 47 top global suppliers to Ford, Visteon earned the coveted gold award – the highest honor of three levels, for outstanding performance in the areas of quality, cost and delivery.

Visteon receives industry award for lighting technology
Visteon is an honored recipient of a 2008 Automotive News PACE Honorable Mention for its innovative light pipe technology, which debuted this summer on the 2008 Cadillac CTS. This is the first application of a single-LED light pipe for these front and rear functions. The new CTS also sports one of the industry’s first applications of LED-powered backup light. The PACE (Premier Automotive Suppliers’ Contribution to Excellence) Award is presented by Automotive News, Microsoft, SAP and Transportation Research Center Inc., and recognizes suppliers for superior innovation, technological advancement and business performance.

Visteon recognized by U.S. Customs
In March, Visteon received recognition from U.S. Customs for its participation in Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, commonly referred to as C-TPAT. Known worldwide as a government-private sector partnership, C-TPAT is an initiative of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection bureau (CBP) with two overarching goals: To strengthen the country's defenses against terrorism by improving the security of shipments to the United States, and to provide benefits and incentives to private sector companies that meet C-TPAT supply chain security criteria and best practices. As part of this partnership, U.S. Customs conducts validation reviews of participating organizations to measure their effectiveness against C-TPAT's goals. During the recent review, Visteon was issued a Tier 3-level certification by CBP. Visteon has been a member of C-TPAT since 2002.

Customer Recognizes Dongfeng Visteon
In March, Dongfeng Visteon Automotive Trim Systems (DFV), a joint venture of Visteon Corporation, Yanfeng Visteon and Dongfeng Electronic Technology based in Wuhan, China, was awarded the 2007 Excellent Localization supplier by Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile (DPCA). DFV is one of the five companies to receive this prestigious award from DPCA. The award recognized DFV’s overall performance in program launch and quality, with a special strength in localization. This is the second time that DFV received the DPCA localization award since its establishment in 2003.

Yanfeng Visteon Automotive Electronics receives quality excellence award
Yanfeng Visteon Automotive Electronics Co. Ltd. (YFVES), a joint venture between Visteon Corporation and Yanfeng Visteon Trim Systems Co., Ltd. received Shanghai General Motors’ (SGM) Supplier Quality Excellence award. Evaluating cost, technology, responsiveness, assurance of supply and quality, the Supplier Quality Excellence Award was established by SGM as a way to examine and reward the overall performance and quality improvement of suppliers from the previous year.

Polaris Industries award Visteon for quality and service
Polaris Industries awarded Visteon with three awards the 2008 Polaris Annual supplier's Conference in Minnesota – the Award of Excellence, the Grade A Quality Award and the Three Star Award. Visteon supplies the engine control module on the 2008 Polaris Victory motorcycle street bike and the all-new Polaris Victory Vision touring bike, which launched in 2007. Visteon also delivered engine control modules for the 500 EFI ATV and 500 EFI Ranger utility vehicles that were launched in 2006.
