Visteon’s time of flight gesture camera is located in the headliner of the vehicle and embodies a near-infrared system so it’s not visible to the human eye. The camera detects a 3-D area in the center-front seat, meaning that touch is not required to adjust the center console, windows, lights and more – all that’s needed is a gesture. This technology reduces driver distraction and increases user experience.
