Manuela’s journey began on August 16, 1990, at Ford Eletrónica Portuguesa—a time before Visteon was officially formed. “It was a great opportunity and an inspiration,” she recalls. She entered through the doors as a member of the Training and Government Affairs Department, later transitioning into Human Resources, where she would ultimately leave a lasting impact.
From Systems to Strategy
Among her proudest milestones? Leading key transformations in HR operations, including the implementation of a new HR management system and streamlining operational efficiencies that improved how teams work and grow. Her work behind the scenes helped Visteon navigate complex people challenges while remaining agile.
Weathering the Storms Together
One of the most important moments in her career came during the COVID-19 pandemic—a period that tested the limits of adaptability and collective resilience. “We had to act fast,” Manuela says. “Implementing new safety measures, strengthening teamwork, and preparing for rapid change taught us what it really means to be flexible.”
