Visteon was awarded the prestigious “Investor in Human Capital” award during the national awards ceremony for “Investor of the Year 2018,” organized by the Bulgarian Investment Agency. More than 90 companies were nominated for 13 categories of awards, and Visteon was also nominated in the “Investment in Innovative Business” category.
In 2018, Visteon launched a number of initiatives and continued projects, focusing not only on developing human capital within the company, but also increasing their contributions to society. Visteon led and participated in many long-term activities furthering the development of human capital in Bulgaria. Contributions included investments in Bulgarian universities and specialized schools, training and development platforms, and the organization and participation in events aiming to increase awareness and commitment of the Bulgarian community in technology fields.
The award was granted to Ivan Mihaylov, Visteon operations director, by the Minister of Education of Bulgaria Krasimir Valchev. Guests of the event included the Deputy Prime Minister on Demographic Policy of Bulgaria, Ministers of Economics, Minister of Education, Deputy Minister of the Environment, and representatives of foreign and Bulgarian companies.
