With an emphasis on “eco” credentials and an intelligent car system, Dongfeng debuted its second-generation AX7 SUV crossover on August 10 in Wuhan, China. The new model showcases Visteon’s leading instrument cluster technology in the form of a liquid crystal display (LCD) all-digital solution, which features prominently in the refreshed cockpit design.
In keeping with the Chinese automaker’s ambition to provide a comfortable, safer and smarter driving experience, Visteon’s 12.3-inch instrument cluster exudes premium quality, while also delivering practical functions including navigation map projection – through seamless interaction with the center information display – and parking assistance.
Providing an all-digital color thin-film transistor (TFT) display, Visteon’s solution, powered by a dual-core image processing chip, offers users the ability to access and apply different themes and skins, selecting their own visual preferences - much like a smartphone, but on a larger screen and in higher resolution.
