Visteon to discuss industry-leading vehicle display technology at upcoming international symposium in San Francisco

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Michigan, May 19, 2016 – Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC), the global leader in vehicle information displays, will share insights on topics ranging from driver monitoring to laser projection at the 2016 Display Week International Symposium in San Francisco, May 24-27.

Visteon engineers from Germany and the U.S. will present four papers during the Society for Information Display’s (SID) annual Display Week at the Moscone Convention Center – considered a premier international event for the electronic display industry.

Visteon will present technical papers on the following topics during Display Week:

  • A pragmatic approach to quantifying “speckles” that can degrade images in laser projection systems. (Session 10.3, 2-3:20 p.m. May 24, Room 130.) Visteon presenter: Yanning Zhao, Kerpen, Germany.
  • Methods to minimize luminance consumption and associated image burn-in on OLED (organic light-emitting diode) displays for automotive applications. (Session 36.1, 3:30-4:50 p.m., May 25, Room 104.) Visteon presenter: Paul Weindorf, Van Buren Township, Michigan, U.S.

  • Recent standardization efforts and measurement procedures of Germany vehicle manufacturers and the German Flat Panel Forum (DFF). (Session 29.1, 10:40 a.m.-noon, May 25.) Visteon’s Hans Ulrich-Lauer, Karlsruhe, Germany, is a co-author.
