Visteon’s new team in Romania moves into state-of-the-art office in Timisoara

Visteon’s Romania team is now in place in their high-tech space on the sixth floor of the ISHO business complex in Timisoara - a 5000m² office space that will ultimately house up to 400 people. The new technology center is designed to provide an open and collaborative environment with dedicated sprint and scum areas, meeting facilities and easy access to the amenities offered by the state-of-the-art complex.

Promoting the opportunity to be a part of an entrepreneurial start-up that will contribute to Visteon’s expansion of its software capabilities, Timisoara is striving to provide a center of excellence, attracting the very best candidates in this competitive segment of engineering.

An initial intake of 40 in a range of roles from software development to HR has joined Visteon during the first quarter of 2019 and the team is looking forward to welcoming new colleagues as recruitment efforts are intensified. The new Timisoara Technology Center is planning to expand resources to 400 employees in 2020.

The Timisoara team is focused on a wide range of software development skills and talent acquisition is currently centered on embedded automotive developers, candidates with Android and AUTOSAR experience, functional safety (ASIL B/C) knowledge, existing automotive experience in cluster and infotainment development and, importantly, experience in working in an Agile development environment.

Timisoara’s primary function is software development for advanced cockpit electronics products (digital instrument clusters, infotainment and head-up displays) catering for European automakers and will collaborate with Visteon’s Chief Technology Office and the European technology centers on the development of new technologies for autonomous driving.

As a key software development hub, collaborating with global R&D facilities, Visteon's newest technology center is set up to directly infulence the technology space in Romania, while it builds an expert team of top talent and establishes a center of excellence that will contribute significantly to ground-breaking new solutions in automotive.
