Visteon leader discusses latest trends at industry event in India

Investigating strategic opportunities and projecting company innovation, Visteon's Arun Devaraj, customer regional engineering lead in India, joined leaders in business and representatives of the media at a recent prestigious conference, targeted at technology and connectivity as drivers for growth and development.

Taking part in the event - hosted by globally-recognized business consulting firm Frost and Sullivan - Arun participated in focused industry talks on the latest auto trends, technology innovation and drivers for change in India's fast-growing auto environment.

Joining a host of senior executives representing global brands, Arun lent his experience to a panel discussion on: “Technology Opportunity Engines: Drive Exponential Growth in Your Organization,” on Oct. 10. Creating a lively debate with leaders from Vodafone, Essar Group and Netmagic, Arun deliberated over key objectives within the auto industry and the integral factors that must be considered when positioning an organization for cultural, structural and technological development.

Arun was also on hand to receive the 2018 Indian Mobility Electronics and Software Solutions Technology Innovation award from the presiding Frost and Sullivan moderator – recognizing Visteon’s pioneering work and advancements in this area.

"What we in the industry must learn is to design to adapt. A user's smartphone updates everyday with new and enhanced apps. With a car, the driver takes it to be serviced maybe once every six months - and even then never finds out what has been done to the car. We are in a position in automotive where we need greater appreciation of what is ahead. You can design your vehicle in an eighteen month cycle - but by the time this period has elapsed you are already unsure whether what you've designed is still relevant or what the consumer wants. If you plan ahead, there will be better traction with the customer."

The Frost and Sullivan summit delivered continuously fresh, innovative, and practical solutions, helping participants to stay abreast of the latest trends. The event also provided access to critical expertise on cross-industry intelligence as well as multiple networking opportunities for the high-level attendees.
