Visteon boosts presence on electric vehicle market with Renault solution

Visteon has increased its support of the electric revolution by supplying the instrument cluster for the new Renault ZOE supermini electric vehicle (EV). The program represents Visteon’s second foray into the alternative energy space with the automaker, complementing existing business with Renault’s Kwid EV variant

First launched in 2012, the ZOE has been a leader in all-electric vehicle advancement, helping place the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance at the forefront of this burgeoning market segment. The latest incarnation of the ZOE marks a significant step forward in battery technology, in-car comfort and overall user experience.

Representing a perfect fit for the ZOE, Visteon’s 10.25-inch thin film transistor (TFT) - which features first on this EV but will subsequently launch on additional automaker models - provides technology differentiation for Renault with a state-of-the-art display supplying all key driver information.
