The latest iteration of Visteon’s pioneering platform – SmartCore Gen. 3 – provides a multi-display environment, supporting instrument cluster, infotainment, rear seat entertainment, connectivity, security and telematics. Enhanced with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the system also delivers a high level of customization that is scalable across numerous vehicle lines.
Unveiled at CES 2020, SmartCore Gen. 3 increases the number of domains that can be incorporated and enabled by the industry-first platform. Covering driver monitoring (DMS), digital cluster and infotainment, the screens can integrate surround view monitoring – utilizing advanced camera and sensor capabilities – plus a display for the front seat passenger to provide entertainment or additional supplementary driver information.
