Combo Condenser Oil Cooler
![]() |
A condenser, used in vehicles with an air conditioning system, condenses refrigerant vapor into a liquid that is then used by the evaporator core to cool the passenger compartment. Traditional oil coolers (transmission or power steering) function in a similar manner, preventing transmission/power steering failure and radiator boil-over, by dissipating heat quickly and efficiently.
Visteon's Combo Condenser Oil Cooler is an all-aluminum, single-plane heat exchanger that integrates the functionality of an oil-to-air transmission oil cooler or a power steering oil cooler with a high capacity condenser. The combination of these two technologies offers superior performance and value to the automotive manufacturer.
Benefits
- Offers reduced package depth by at least 25mm and mass by 0.7kg compared to individual components.
- Provides improved durability through the elimination of external connections within the oil cooler.
- Enables improved recyclability of components to satisfy end-of-life initiatives through all-aluminum construction.
