Visteon earns highest ranking in J.D. Power multimedia quality study
Visteon's focus on quality and expertise in cockpit electronics were demonstrated by its industry-leading performance in a segment of the J.D. Power and Associates 2009 Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study™. Visteon ranked highest in quality in the AM/FM/multi-CD changer/satellite radio segment of the study, which evaluated vehicle owners' experience with the quality, design and features of multimedia systems in their new vehicles.

 Visteon receives fourth Corporate ONE Award
In October, Visteon earned the "Corporate ONE Award" from the Michigan Minority Business Development Council (MMBDC) – an award given to less than 10 percent of MMBDC's corporate members. Criteria for the award include having an established minority/diversity supplier development program, reporting minority purchases quarterly, and belonging to MMBDC's Corporate ONE, an initiative to aid minority businesses in becoming competitive bidders for corporate contracts. This is the fourth consecutive year Visteon has earned this honor.

 Visteon receives honors for workplace flexibility
Visteon received the 2009 Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility for companies in Michigan. Visteon was one of 37 honorees and the only automotive-related company to be recognized for its progressive programs that promote work-life integration, including opportunities for employees to adopt flexible work schedules and access to the Visteon information technology network from remote locations. The Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility are part of When Work Works, a national project on workplace effectiveness and workplace flexibility from Families and Work Institute in partnership with The Center for Workforce Preparation, an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the Twiga Foundation.

Climate Systems India Ltd. wins award from Maruti Suzuki
Climate Systems India Ltd (CSIL) – a Visteon majority-owned joint venture – received the prestigious vendor performance award for quality from Maruti Suzuki at their annual supplier conference in Hyderabad, India. The award was granted based on the supply of radiators and engine cooling modules to Maruti from April 2008 to March 2009. Maruti Suzuki has more than 200 suppliers and awards only the top ten suppliers in a given category. This is the seventh consecutive year Visteon received the award for quality from the customer. CSIL is located in northern India, near Delhi, and currently manufactures climate control products and fuel delivery modules.

Visteon honored for telematics prowess
Visteon was honored for two different initiatives at the recent Telematics Detroit 2009 conference. Visteon received runner-up recognition for the "Best Embedded Telematics Navigation Product" – its connected car system – while the GENIVI Alliance won runner-up for the "Industry Newcomer" award for innovative/collaborative participation on the new open source infotainment alliance. Visteon is a founding member of the GENIVI Alliance – formed to drive development and adoption of an open source in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) platform. Telematics Detroit is an annual event that is the largest of its kind in North America and Europe, sponsored by the quarterly publication Telematics Update.

Denso recognizes Visteon in Argentina
Denso presented the prestigious Excellence Award to Visteon in Argentina during its annual supplier meeting. The award recognizes suppliers for outstanding overall performance in 2008 in the areas of product quality, contribution to customer success, delivery rate, and commitment to cost reduction. Denso, with a supply base of more than 40 global companies, grants this award annually to two suppliers. This is the third time Visteon has received this award. Visteon supplies climate products to Denso, who is the Tier 1 supplier to a major vehicle manufacturer in South America.

Pune plant receives recognition from Mahindra & Mahindra
Mahindra & Mahindra recently awarded Visteon Automotive Systems India (VASI) Pune plant its "Best Performance in Product Development" award for efforts on the Xylo, a minivan for the Indian market that launched in early 2009. The plant supplies Mahindra with a modular instrument panel design that easily adapts to left and right hand driving variants, and is the first full instrument panel designed and engineered in India. Visteon also is one of the first suppliers to achieve 100 percent rating on Mahindra's mass manufacturing approval process, which is used to audit and rate suppliers. Last year, Visteon was awarded the coveted "Best Performance in Quality" award from Mahindra.

Visteon Automotive Systems India recognized by Hyundai Motor India
Visteon Automotive Systems India (VASI) in Chennai was granted the prestigious 'Overall Best Performance Award' from Hyundai Motor India (HMI) during its annual supplier meeting. This award is based on overall outstanding performance in 2008, including product quality, contribution to customer success, localization efforts, and strong management commitment and quick response. Visteon is the only supplier to receive this award from Hyundai, which has a supply base of more than 100 suppliers.

Visteon-Autopal receives good practice award by European agency
On April 27, Visteon-Autopal s.r.o. in Novy Jicin, Czech Republic was honored with an award at the ninth annual European Good Practice competition organized by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA). The award forms part of the Healthy Workplaces campaign on risk assessment. Visteon-Autopal promoted good health and safety practices in the workplace by using risk assessments to achieve safe workplaces, reducing absenteeism and insurance costs while increasing employee motivation and productivity. Visteon-Autopal is one of eight companies honored, from hundreds of organizations and companies from all over Europe.

Visteon receives corporate citizenship award in Brazil
Visteon was recognized as one of the 10 best companies in social responsibility in Brazil, during an April 28 ceremony in Sao Paulo. Visteon received the "Citizen Company" award, sponsored by Gestão & RH Publisher, a publication based in Brazil specializing in human resources topics."Citizen Company" is awarded to companies demonstrating best practices in corporate citizenship. It is based on an assessment of corporate values, institutional partnerships, environmental commitment, volunteer programs and other factors.

PACE award program recognizes Visteon for interior technologies
Visteon was named a finalist for its Two-Color, Two-Shot manufacturing process and received honorable mention for Stitched Visteon Laminate Insert Molding during the annual Premier Automotive Suppliers' Contribution to Excellence (PACE) award celebration. Honors to Visteon focused on the 2009 Dodge Ram program. PACE recognized Visteon's Two-Color, Two-Shot manufacturing process used to produce the stylish two-toned instrument panel for the 2009 Dodge Ram ST and SLT trucks as a finalist in the competition. Visteon also received an honorable mention for its Stitched Visteon Laminate Insert Molding (VLIM) process used on the Dodge Ram Laramie model. The 2009 Automotive News PACE Award ceremony was presented by Automotive News, Ernst & Young and Transportation Research Center Inc., and recognizes suppliers for superior innovation, technological advancement and business performance. 2009 is the sixth consecutive year Visteon has been recognized in the PACE Awards program.
