Personal information submitted through this Web site, including through the Careers section, will be collected by Visteon in the jurisdiction where the position contact is located and may be shared with Visteon's affiliated entities, subsidiaries or joint ventures in other jurisdictions.

Visitors are free to decide what types of personal information, if any, to submit. Submitting personal information is entirely voluntary. However, if visitors choose not to submit personal information, this may limit Visteon's ability to consider candidacy.

What types of information does this cover?
Any personal information submitted through this Web site, including the online job search tool or through one of many online forms and e-mail addresses posted on this Web site is included. As part of the job application or job search process, information includes:

  • Name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, other contact information;
  • CV, résumé, cover letter, previous work experience, education, transcripts;
  • Employment preferences, willingness to relocate, desired salary; and
  • How you heard about the position, and
  • Information relating to references.

Should the visitor elect to provide Visteon with details of a reference or any other third party as part of a CV/ résumé, it is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain consent from that third party prior to passing their personal information.

In addition, Visteon has contracted Ceridian, Inc. to provide an online recruitment tool that enables Visteon to manage its recruitment process more efficiently. Ceridian, Inc. collects and maintains Visteon’s recruiting database for the United States only according to Visteon's instructions.

Third parties may be contracted to work with Visteon. Candidates personal information may be shared with these third parties, including without limitation: recruiting companies and staffing providers. Visteon will take appropriate technical, organizational and legal steps to secure your personal information.

Does Visteon keep data?
United States Federal law requires Visteon to retain information of candidates applying for jobs within the United States. Personal information of candidates applying for jobs in other parts of the world will be retained in accordance with local law. Visteon will retain the information submitted by candidates for consideration related to positions the candidate may be qualified. Visitors who prefer Visteon not retain their information for such purposes, should advise Visteon directly through the careers section on the Contact Us page.

Candidates personal information may be deleted at any time (including your CV/résumé), without any reason. Therefore, candidates should retain a copy of the personal information submitted to Visteon.

How to update personal information previously submitted
To change personal information previously submitted, visitors should resubmit information through the Submit an Interest Form section, and selecting the region and country or countries originally selected as “authorized to work.”  Visitors are encouraged to promptly update personal information if it changes or is inaccurate. Upon request, Visteon will deactivate or remove personally identifiable information from its active databases, although some information may be retained as permitted or required by law.

For persons submitting information in Europe: By agreeing to this Statement, the visitor agrees to the transfer of personally identifiable information to countries outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”), to countries with a different data protection regime than in place in the EEA. Visteon will take appropriate technical, organizational, and legal steps to secure personally identifiable information.
